Durty Mick Records is proud to announce their grand opening of their
retail location nestled in the heart of Long Beach's burgeoning East
Village Arts District. The area is perhaps best known in the punk
community as the location of the original SST building and the home to
legendary venue Toe Jam's. Since that time, the neighborhood roots
have grown to see the community become home to artists and musicians
alike in a fast growing landscape for independent retailers that truly
encapsulates the DIY community. Carrying the very best selection of
vinyl and t-shirts in punk, metal, horror, hardcore, and all things
underground, Durty Mick Records stands to carry to the torch for the
punk community offering a place for old and new faces to rediscover
their passion for alternative culture. More than just a store to
quickly peruse through, the listening bar offers a place to discover
new music, local artists and musicians are encouraged to come in and
discuss their current projects, Owner Durty Mick says his store vision
is to, "Just have a welcoming environment for kids to come hang out
and listen to some music... a place I didn't have when I was a kid."
